Chibi-News J-Pop: Hamasaki Ayumi - Mad World, Flower and new Album (Fr/Eng)

Hamasaki Ayumi: 17e album M(A)de in Japan + 2 Video clips

After the 2 tracks of Utada Hikaru in the middle of spring, it her great rival to the throne of Queen of J-Pop at the turn of the 2000s, Hamasaki Ayumi (浜崎あゆみ) who announced her 17th album (!) by releasing as well 2 Music Video on her channel in mid-June ! When I'm asked who would be the Japanese Madonna, with respect to proportions of course, when it comes to the style and fame, I think of "Ayu".

Mad World

These songs were thought "dark" and "heavy" to highlight the inner feelings of Ayu, it is said. The 1st one, Mad World (Music video here), is a ballad in a dark scenery and an acting symbolising the star-building of Ayu while old movies are played in the back.

Flower

The 2nd, Flower, alternates slow and nostalgic passages accompanied with a traditional tune (on koto it seems), and rock passages with nervous guitars. A song about deception and heartbreak.

Album M(A)DE IN JAPAN

Here is the complete setlist and the covers of the 17th album released last week, on the 29th of June 2016, and entitled 『M(A)DE IN JAPAN』. There are no limited version excepted the Fan-club one; there is a CD only version, but as it contains only 10 songs and as the DVD or Blu-ray offers 6 videos with a low price difference, I think you'd rather take one of these 2 last:

Le retour de la grande rivalité ? The Big Rivalry back ?

These 2 annoucements so close, is it a draw of the famous rivalry in 2000s' J-Pop ? Nothing is less certain because it was mostly built by the Majors, the medias and fans. During the break of Hikki, Ayu accepted to participate in a tribute album for instance. Hikki encountered some problems with her former Major, and seems determined to keep the hand on her work and her lifestyle now that she is mother. But on the fans side ^^'...
