Kokia en concert à Kyoto - 07/08/2015 (Fr/Eng)

Peu de villes peuvent se permettre de décaler une célébration religieuse d'ampleur nationale au motif qu'il y a une fête de quartier le même mois... C'est pourtant le cas de Tanabata à Kyoto, fêtée un mois après tout le monde au sanctuaire Yasaka pour cause de défilé de chars (religieux aussi certes) en juillet pour Gion Matsuri ! Et c'est donc à cette occasion que je suis tombé ce 7 août 2015 sur l'annonce du concert au dit sanctuaire de Kokia.

Few cities can allow themselves to delay a national-scale religious ceremony because there is a district festival on the same month... That's however the case for Tanabata matsuri in Kyoto, celebrated one month after the rest of Japan in Yasaka shrine because of the (yet religious too) char parade during Gion matsuri in July ! And thus on this occasion I could find the announce of the Kokia concert in this shrine on August the 7th 2015.

Kokia est une chanteuse pop lyrique qui a une petite renommée en France, notamment pour ses concerts (cf. par exemple le live-report de 2009 par +Nolife) et ses génériques du film d'animation "Origin" : "Ai no melody" et "Chôwa oto" !

Le concert, gratuit, dura de 18h30 à 19h30 dans l'un des pavillons (photo ci-dessous issue de son site - pas de photos durant le concert en principe), avec 4 hauts-parleurs, 2 organisatrices, un ingé son et un pianiste pour tout accompagnement. La douce puissance vocale de la chanteuse alliée à quelque magie shinto aura permis d'écarter la pluie tout ce temps malgré les éclairs et grondements tout autour ! Il y avait environ 300 personnes, sans compter les touristes attardés.

Pour la set-list, il y avait notamment :

• Hikari no koe
• Family tree
• Something blue and something red
• Infinity (de Kokia-Akiko)...
• Et pour finir, un saut de 10 ans en arrière avec Remember the kiss.

Kokia, Akiko de son vrai prénom, née en 1976, en est à sa 18e année de carrière. Son dernier album en date, I found you, est sorti en mars 2015 :

Kokia is a pop lyrical singer who is fairly renown in France for her concerts and her tie-ups for the animation movie "Origin" : "Ai no melody" et "Chôwa oto" !

The event was free and lasted 1h from 18h30 on in one of the pavilions (photo from her website above - no photo allowed during the live normally), with 4 speakers, 2 MC staffs, one sound engineer and one pianist only. The smooth vocal power of the singer along with any shinto magic let us avoid the rain during the event despite lightnings and roamings all around ! There were some 300 peoples, without counting the tourists passing by.

• Something blue and something red
• Infinity (from Kokia-Akiko)...
• And in ending, a leap 10 years back with Remember the kiss.

Kokia, Akiko as her true surname, was born in 1976, and entered her 18th year of career. Her last-to-date album, I found you, was released in March 2015 (video above).
