Chibi-News Anison : Takigawa Alisa x Owarimonogatari - Sayonara no yukue, Aoi Eir x Arslan - Lapis-lazuli, Kalafina x Arslan - One Light (Fr/Eng)

Small flashback in order to introduce a nice Anison release in November 2015. The anime version of  The heroic Legend of Arslan (Arslan Senki) started last spring 2015, under the artistic direction of the successful Full Metal Alchemist female author. If Arslan doesn't yet reach the level of its predecessor to my opinion, it has  at least brilliant endings, to say Lapis-lazuli by Aoi Eir (released in April 2015), and One light by Kalafina, released in August (and whom I was happy to see in concert in Osaka this month :-p).

Lapis-lazuli 「ラピスラズリ」 is the 10th single of Aoi Eir (藍井エイル), revealed to an extended public by anime series Fate/Zero and who had attracted several thousands people in Paris at Japan Expo last year !
The song is a mid-tempo pop-rock tune where the powerful and low voice of the singer produces an epic atmosphere which translates well the spirit of the anime. It can be found in the album  D'Azur (yes, as "Aoi" is an homonyous to the Japanese word for "Blue", she loves playing with that ^^).

The 3 divas of Kalafina who had come too at  Japan Expo in 2014 with the same success, released the single One light, which is thus the 2nd ending of Arslan, in August not long before the album Far on the water. This track alternates rock and lyrical ballad, it is therefore a quite good glimpse of their whole opus.

The point is that Kalafina was created by female compositor  Kajiura Yuki for the anime Garden of Sinner (Kara no Kyoukai) from the same author as for Fate/Zero, but one of their 1st big worldwide success is a tie-up to Shaft studio anime Puella Magi Madoka Magika, who celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2015. And their other great series nowadays is the Monogatari one. The studio mixed both universes for an exhibition called "Madomonogatari" which standed in November 2015 in Tokyo, in December in Osaka, and will stand a last time (?) in Sapporo in February 2016, if you go in this area...

JMusic-Hits.com Takigawa Alisa x Owarimonogatari - Sayonara no yukue

The "last" serie, aired this winter, was "Owari"-monogatari 『終物語』, of which I wanted to introduce the ending sang by Takigawa Alisa (or Arisa depending on the transcription : 瀧川ありさ ), Sayonara no yukue 『さよならのゆくえ』, "the trace of a farewell". It reminds a bit the one of the 1st series (supercell - Kimi no shiranai monogatari) which is still very popular in karaoke : a pop-rock mid-tempo yet soft song thanks to the young singer's voice (3rd single, released in November 2015).
