Ce 2e article sur le Kôhaku 2015 reprend à partir de la "mi-temps", où l'on peut voter une première fois pour les rouges (voix féminines) ou les blancs (voix masculines) qui se sont produits jusqu'à présent (où anticiper sur la suite si on doit s'absenter ^^), notamment via la télécommande.
This 2nde article on the Kouhaku 2015 starts again from the "half-time", during which one can vote a first time for the reds (female vocals) or the whites (male vocals) who performed until now (or by anticipating on the follow up if one must go out ^^), in particular by using the remote control.

It starts again then, with several stars and even mascots on the stage, with the Johnny's Kanjani8, pronounced Kanjani-eight (関ジャニ∞) and the positive track Mae muki Scream (前向きスクリーム!), "Go on scream".

Mood changes with the Enka singer Tendou Yoshimi (天童よしみ), for an homage to the legendary Misora Hibari (on the screens) of whom she covers Jinsei Ichiro (人生一路, "a straight life"), a song of 1970. We could notice the effort in the reproduction of the costume of Misora's last live at Tokyo Dome in 1989.

It goes on with a small act to introduce the actors of a NHK drama, Asa ga kita, who find themselves in the middle of the Idols band NMB48, who are covering the drama's tie-up, San-byaku roku-jû go nichi no Kamihikôki (365日の紙飛行機, "a 365 days (flight on a) paper plane), initialy from the AKB48.

Then, the San-daime J-Soul Brothers (三代目 J Soul Brothers), coming from the EXILE Tribe bands, who rewarmed the mood with the dance track Summer Madness. In 2015, they reached the podium of the best J-Music sellers, particularly thanks to the album Planet 7.
Puis on a droit à un duplex pour retrouver Fukuyama Masaharu (福山雅治) en plein concert, qui entonne un medley à l'occasion des 25 ans de ses débuts: I am a Hero, Niji (虹), Hello et Sakurazaka (桜坂).
After that, we have the honors of a duplex to meet Fukuyama Masaharu (福山雅治) in the middle of a live, who starts a medley celebrating his 25 years of career: I am a Hero, Niji (虹), Hello et Sakurazaka (桜坂).
Au retour plateau, on découvre la chanteuse d'Enka Mizumori Kaori (水森かおり) qui se console de sa rupture grâce à "l'amour des routes de l'ancien Japon (appelé alors Yamato)", Yamato-ji no koi (大和路の恋) devant un fond d'écran représentant l'ancienne capitale Nara (avec le grand Bouddha du Tôdai-ji, les daims...). Un phénix semble venir par derrière, c'est alors que l'écran et l'escalier s'écartent et elle se retrouve ainsi sur le dos d'un phénix mécanique à plusieurs mètres du sol !
When back to the stage, one finds the Enka singer Mizumori Kaori (水森かおり) who finds some reconfort from her heartbreak thanks to the "Love of the Ancient Japan (then called Yamato) roads", Yamato-ji no koi (大和路の恋) in front of an animated screen picturing former capital Nara (with the great Buddha of the Toudai-ji, deers...). A phoenix seems to come from behind her and that's when the screen and the stairs split and she gets standing on the back of a mechanical phoenix several meters above the ground !
C'est ensuite au tour d'Ikimonogakari (いきものがかり) d'entrer en scène, mais l'actualité modifie quelque peu leur programme : alors qu'il était prévu d'avoir logiquement un titre de 2015, la mort le 30 novembre précédent du célèbre mangaka Mizuki Shigeru (水木しげる), auteur notamment de Gegege no Kitarô (ゲゲゲの鬼太郎 - Kitaro le Repoussant en VF, un manga sur les Yôkai, esprits du folklore japonais) et d'œuvres dénonçant les exactions japonaises de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, les amène finalement à interpréter Arigatô (ありがとう), un titre qu'ils avaient déjà chanté en 2010. En effet, celui-ci avait servi de générique à un drama de la NHK inspiré de l'autobiographie de sa femme, Gegege no Nyôbô (ゲゲゲの女房 - "l'épouse du repoussant"). On peut retrouver ce titre sur leur tout récent Best of sorti pour leurs 10 ans.

On marque ensuite une trêve avec l'arrivée surprise de Mickey (probablement suite à l'annonce en 2015 de nouvelles extensions à Tokyo Disneyland pour 2017), et la version japonaise de l'hymne de Disney, Hoshi ni negai wo (星に願いを, "Quand on prie la Bonne Etoile") par les 2 représentants d'équipes accompagnés des autres membres de V6 et de Perfume.

The female singer performs her 2015 song Nagaku mijikai matsuri (長く短い祭, "a long short festival") in kimono but with an auto-tuned voice giving an electro style.

Then ther a new surprise with the invasion of Darth Vader and a Clone troop, and after they left, the arrival of R2D2, C3-PO and BB-8, the Kouhaku falling into the Star Wars - Episod 7 fever. As a matter of fact, it is cosplayed as Jedi that the Johnny's Arashi (嵐), best sellers of J-Music in 2015, appear on the stage for a short medley: sakura and Ai wo sakebe (愛を叫べ, "shout your love") !
On poursuit les surprises avec l'entrée en scène des AKB48, le plus fameux groupe d'Idols féminin de la décennie, qui apparaissent par magie sur une estrade mobile. Mais la plus grosse surprise est pour l'une de ses membres emblématiques, Takahashi Minami (高橋みなみ), qui avait annoncé son départ du groupe pour avril 2016. En effet, 2 de ses amies et anciennes du groupe, Maeda Atsuko (前田敦子) et Ôshima Yûko (大島優子) apparaissent pendant le medley célébrant les 10 ans du groupe : Aitakatta (会いたかった, "je voulais te rencontrer"), Flying get et Heavy rotation avant de finir sur Koi suru Fortune Cookie (恋するフォーチュンクッキー, "le biscuit prédisant la bonne fortune amoureuse") !
We go on with the surprises through the arrival on stage of the AKB48, the most famous female Idols band of the decade, who appears by magic on a mobile stand. But the biggest surprise is for one of their emblematic members, Takahashi Minami (高橋みなみ), who had announced her leaving the band by April 2016. We stay with the big bands, but on the male side, with the arrival of EXILE, who proposes too a medley starting with 24 Karats~Gold soul, and going on featuring the Sandaime J-Soul Brothers, another band from EXILE Tribe, et des E-girls as back-dancers, with Rising sun.
Le calme et le recueillement reviennent ensuite avec l'hommage du patineur Hanyû Yuzuru (羽生結弦), champion olympique de patinage artistique en 2014, à sa région natale, le Tôhoku qui avait été touché par le tsunami et l'accident nucléaire de Fukushima en 2011. Il lance la chanson suivante, sur laquelle il avait patiné aux JO: Hana wa saku (花は咲く, "une fleur va éclore"), écrite un an après la catastrophe, et chantée ici par la quasi-totalité des invités et simplement accompagnée au piano par le batteur de X Japan, Yoshiki.


The normal flow goes on then with the first appearance at Kouhaku of the pop-rock singer Superfly for her tie-up with a drama: Beautiful, about which I had a bit talked nearly 1 year earlier. A major artist with an incredible voice who should have been appeared far earlier in the broadcast !
On apprend que malgré leur promesse en cours d'émission, le groupe de Visual Kei Golden Bomber va encore interpréter pour la 4e fois en... 4 invitations, leur titre phare Memeshikute (女々しくて, "efféminé"). Mais peu importe: avec eux, ce n'est pas la chanson qui compte, mais le délire autour. Cette fois, le batteur se proposait de défier un membre du jury dans un combat de sumô, et c'est tombé sur le comique de manzai Matayoshi Naoki (又吉直樹) qui a connu un grand succès en 2015 avec son premier livre Hibana (火花, "Etincelle"). Kenji Darvish a gagné le combat pour faire sonner la cloche de la nouvelle année, mais c'est lui qui se retrouve sonné, porté tête la première par les vrais sumôtori présents ^^ !


The very popular (3 albums in the charts in 2015 !)singer Nishino Kana (西野カナ) comes and brings back some order with Torisetsu (トリセツ), a song nearly like a nursery rhyme to give men some advice on romantism. I don't see why...

After that, we left again for a duplex to the Countdown Japan festival to meet the rock band Bump Of Chicken, for their first appearance at Kouhaku, and who performs Ray, a song known in particular for having been performed in duo with the Vocaloid virtual star Hatsune Miku. As for Superfly above, it is an historic anomaly repaired (see my article on Tentai Kansoku for instance).

Back to the NHK Hall, we find the Enka singer Ishikawa Sayuri (石川さゆり), 38 participations, with her first hit in the 70s, Tsugaru Kaikyô, Fuyugeshiki (津軽海峡・冬景色 "the strait of Tsugaru, winter landscape"), accompanied by more than 10 shamisen. The Tsugaru strait is located between Honshu et Hokkaido.

Another veteran succeeds to her, Itsuki Hiroshi (五木ひろし), 45 participations, with Chikuma-gawa (千曲川, "Chikuma river"), an Enka song of 1975. The Chikuma river holds this name in the Nagano district were it has got its spring, before becoming the Shinamo river (信濃川) and reaching the Japan sea in Niigata.

Back to modernity with the V6, a less known band than the other Johnny's but who celebrated their 20 years, hence the fact that one of their members was captain of the whites. They perform a small medley: Music for the people and Ai'nanda (愛なんだ, "Love !?").

Then the great stars of electro-pop, Perfume, start a visually outstanding show playing with light and with the help of TV effects from NHK, on the tune of Pick me up.
Ensuite, c'est une trêve pour écouter Komura Sachiko (小村幸子) interpréter le tube Senbonzakura (千本桜, "un millier de cerisiers") en version Enka. Créée à l'origine par un producteur de Vocaloid (VocaP) surnommé Kuro-usaP (黒うさP) avec la voix d'Hatsune Miku, cette chanson fut largement relayée sur les réseaux sociaux comme Nico-Nico Douga avant de rendre célèbre le groupe néo-trad Wagakki Band. Si Komura l'interprète cette année au Kôhaku, c'est parce que la version 4 du logiciel Vocaloid contient précisément un personnage, Sachiko, inspiré par sa voix ! La NHK rend d'ailleurs hommage à Nico-Nico Douga en inondant son écran de commentaires "live" pendant la chanson, comme sur ce réseau de partage de vidéos. On notera aussi que Komura Sachiko se retrouve perchée, comme Mizumori Kaori précédemment, à plusieurs mètres du sol, alors qu'elle n'est plus toute jeune ; une nouvelle mode chez les chanteuses d'enka ?

Honnêtement, je n'avais pas spécialement apprécié sa reprise en japonais de l'Hymne à l'amour de Piaf l'année précédente car il a tendance à forcer son vibrato d'Enka. Mais là, il s'agit littéralement d'une "chanson à texte" saisissante, dans laquelle il joue plusieurs personnages, racontant l'histoire d'un fils de "yoitomake" donc, une femme contrainte à un travail de force sur les chantiers à cause d'un mari trop pauvre ou infirme, (voire absent ou mort à la guerre), moqué à l'école mais qui va tout faire pour devenir ingénieur afin de rendre honneur aux efforts de sa mère.
The president of the Kouhaku, Kuroyanagi Tetsuko, makes a speech back to the stage to tell, a bit stressed, her childhood during war, the deprivations and the necessity to work, as an introduction to the next song, by a person nearly as old as her, Miwa Akihiro (美輪明宏), survivor of the Nagasaki bombing where he was born in 1935 ! Writer under his real last name, Maruyama, and cabaret singer where he performs cross-dressed with a sparkling dress and blond-haired, as one can see on the down-right corner of the opening picture, he is engaged on the social questions as well as on the war criticism. The song he performs here, Yoitomake no uta (ヨイトマケの唄, I don't know what would be a good equivalent in English, maybe "song of the female docker"), is the lone for which he gives up his cabaret costum, goes back to his natural black hairs and wears a school uniform or a dark suit. Indeed he had written in purpose to have in his repertory a song destined to the poors and the underqualified workers, after being in error in a mining city where he found a bit ashamed to appear in such an exhuberant manner.

They sing here their biggest hit, 30 years old, Friends (フレンズ) but the singer's voice is quite the same as at that time.

Then it is the time for Imai Miki (今井美樹), introduced by the red captain, Ayase Haruka. She explains that she was stroke by her play of a drama in 2013 about Fukushima and the tsunami of Touhoku nearly 5 years ago. At this time, a song seemed to correspond to her experience: Piece of my Wish, ballad of 1991 by this singer.

The white captain Inohara Yoshihiko launches his "sempai" Johnny's of the band SMAP with a duplex with the participants of a Touhoku city to a popular song contest that they co-animate. They sing a medley: Triangle and Otherside.

The nostalgia sequence goes on with the moving announce, in presence of the Enka artists, of the last appearance of Mori Shinichi (森進一) at Kouhaku as he wishes and whereas he is celebrating his 50 years of career. As a matter of fact, he cumulates with this 66e edition not less than 48 participations in a row and was called "the face of the Kouhaku" ! He performs O-fukuro-san (おふくろさん, "my mother").

Then comes Takahashi Mariko (髙橋 真梨子) born in Hiroshima from survivors parents, but whose father, jazzman, would soon die of his sequels, and she sarts a medley with a song of 1973 that she had performed as a member of the folk-jazz band Pedro & Capricious, Go-ban gai no Marî he (五番街のマリーへ, "To Marie of the 5th Avenue"). Then it's Momoiro Toiki (桃色吐息, "peach-pink sigh "), a kayôkyoku ballade with some nostalgic rhumba tune.

At last for the white, it is the pop-rock singer, ex-Idol yet still under Johnny's label, and even racing pilot, Kondou Masahiko (近藤真彦) for his 35 years of career. He is also known as Matchy, nickname with which he sang a tie-up of Naruto Shippuden... Here he performs, with most of the artists around him, Gingira-Gin ni sarigenaku (ギンギラギンにさりげなく, that could be transcripted as "Naturally Bling-Bling").

And we finish with the reds and the great ex-Idol of the 80s, with a 35-year career as well, Mastuda Seiko (松田聖子) who performs her emblematic track, Akai sweet pea (赤いスイートピー, a a reference to azuki, that could be transcripted as "sweet honey" ^^).
Après une dernière séance de vote, ce sont les rouges qui l'emportent, avec plus de 356 000 voix contre plus de 346 000. Après la remise du trophée à Ayase Haruka, tout le monde entonne Hotaru no hikari (蛍の光), version japonaise de "Ce n'est qu'un au revoir" (musique écossaise à l'origine, Auld lang syne).
